Goodbye chicken skin

Upper Arm SugaringSmooth skin, not sandpaper

From elbow to shoulder: not just hair removal, but that bumpy texture too. Those little hard bumps on the upper arm, the matte look, the scratching feeling after shaving — all solvable. Sugaring does epilation and exfoliation in one. Finally feel confident going sleeveless.

Why sugaring works

Why sugaring smoothsyour upper arms

Sugaring doesn't just remove hair — it exfoliates at the same time. 2-in-1: epilation + peeling. Smooth to the eye and to the touch.

Fighting the bumps

Those little hard dots on the upper arm (keratosis pilaris, commonly called 'chicken skin') are actually clogged pores. The sugar paste wraps around the hair and keratin plugs and pulls them out. Pores open up, the surface smooths out.

No more scratching

After shaving, sharp hair tips scratch against your body with every arm movement. Sugaring pulls hair from the root — what grows back has soft tips. Even with friction, no scratching anymore.

More vibrant skin tone

The exfoliating effect of the paste boosts circulation. That matte, dull appearance goes away — a rosier, more vibrant skin tone comes in.

Sleeveless confidence

Summer tank tops, sports, the beach... That bumpy look and red dots won't hold you back anymore. You can confidently show your arms.

It's about texture

End the bumps —confidence to go sleeveless

I'm Nataliia. Most people don't come to me for upper arms because of 'too much hair.' The real issue is usually texture: those little hard bumps on the outside, the rough surface, the matte look. It's called keratosis pilaris — commonly known as 'chicken skin.' Shaving makes it worse — sharp hair tips scratch, irritation increases. Sugaring works differently: it removes keratin plugs, opens the pores, calms the skin. Not just hair removal — the texture improves too.

Nataliia

Chicken skin calms down

The sugar paste removes keratin plugs, pores open up. The surface gets smoother, that bumpy feeling decreases. After a few sessions, the difference is noticeable.

Sleeveless confidence

Sleeveless blouse, tank dress, swimsuit... You stop thinking 'I hope nobody sees my upper arm.' When red dots and bumps reduce, confidence comes.

No scratching feeling

Soft hair tips don't scratch against your body, even with friction. That uncomfortable feeling during arm movement is just gone.

How it works

Your upper arm sugaring step by step

Strong on the outside, gentle on the inside. The right technique for each zone.

  1. 1

    Outer side (triceps)

This is the dry, rough area. I work with broad application for maximum exfoliating effect. Keratosis pilaris shows up most here — the paste takes the plugs too.

    10–15 min

  2. 2

    Inner side (biceps)

Thin, soft skin. More sensitive zone. Strong stretching, few strips, quick work. The sensation is a bit more intense but over quickly.

    5–10 min

  3. 3

    Shoulder transition

I use a soft fade technique. No hard line at the shoulder — should look natural, so I soften the transition.

    5–8 min

  4. 4

    Finishing up

Moisturizing and soothing care. Redness goes down, texture calms.

    3–5 min

Before your visit

To avoid irritation

The exfoliation is done by sugaring — you don't need to do it twice.

No peeling beforehand

Don't use exfoliating gloves, scrubs, or brushes 2 days before your appointment. Your skin gets sensitized anyway, and sugaring exfoliates too. We don't want double irritation.

Let it grow

Upper arm hair is usually fine. For the paste to grip, don't shave for about 3 weeks. Too short and I can't grab it, can't remove the root.

No sunburn

Don't come with 'driver's arm' sunburn. I can't work on red, burned skin. Avoid intense sun a few days before your appointment.

No lotion

On treatment day, no lotion, oil, or cream on the upper arm. The paste holds better on clean skin.

Aftercare

The strap rule —avoid friction

Upper arm and shoulder are freshly treated. Let them breathe, avoid friction.

1
Treatment day

Nothing that digs in

  • Today no tight bra straps or backpack straps on the shoulder. Friction on open pores causes irritation.
2
First 24 hours

Loose clothing

  • Wear a loose t-shirt. Tight polyester long sleeves or tight athletic tops are off limits today. Fabric shouldn't rub, skin should breathe.
3
First 24 hours

Exercise waits

  • Workouts with lots of arm movement — weights, swimming, yoga — wait 24 hours. Sweat + friction = breakouts.
4
From day 3

Start exfoliating

  • If you have keratosis pilaris (chicken skin), start light exfoliation from day 3. To keep pores open, regular exfoliation is essential. Use lotion with urea or an exfoliating glove at home.

When short sleeves suddenly show more than you want

Upper Armsfor a calmer silhouette

Why upper arms quickly look 'restless'

On the upper arms, it's often not heavy hair growth, but an effect of light, shadow, and fine fuzz.

Many people don't want a radical result here, but less attention on the zone – so that short sleeves become easy again.

Fuzz and texture often go together here

Upper arms show texture quickly – especially if the skin is dry or you are prone to small dots like Keratosis Pilaris ('chicken skin').

That's why I clarify with you beforehand what your goal is: just visually calming or also noticeably smoother. In this zone, 'less, but harmonious' often looks most natural.

When upper arms suddenly become a topic

The zone only comes into focus for many when certain situations arise:

  • Summer dresses & tops: Arms become the main area in view.
  • Photos: in side light, fuzz acts quickly like a veil.
  • Self-tanner: Product emphasizes hairs and texture more strongly.
  • Sports & Everyday Life: you notice friction or suddenly become more aware of the surface.

How I keep the result natural

With upper arms, the area decides less than the look afterwards.

  1. I look at your gradient, so it doesn't look like a hard 'cut'.
  2. I plan transitions softly, because upper arm and forearm are quickly compared in the light.
  3. I prefer to work evenly instead of 'too clean', so it looks like you – not like an edge.

What it can feel like

Upper arms are usually manageable, but individual spots can be more noticeable – especially towards the inside.

I work without pressure and in sections that work well for you. If you need a short break, that is completely normal.

What really counts afterwards

Upper arms are quickly back in contact: sleeves, jacket, bag, bedding. Exactly this can irritate unnecessarily.

  • Soft fabrics: preferably nothing tight or rubbing on the same day.
  • No rough scrubs: give the skin some rest first.
  • Less heat: if possible, less heavy sweating for the rest of the day.
  • Plan a little buffer: if you are prone to redness, a night's distance to events is the more relaxed choice.

If you want it as an overall arm picture

Sometimes the upper arms only bother because the rest of the arms are already calmer – or vice versa.

If you want a continuous solution, Arms Complete is the 'no edges' variant. If you want to start smaller, Arms to Elbow fits as an entry.

Clean process and clear limits

With body zones, it is important to me that you feel safe and the process remains calm and comprehensible.

I work with gloves and fresh setup. In case of severe rash, acute inflammation, open wounds, or suspicion of infection, I prefer to reschedule and recommend medical advice if necessary.
